Asian Lettuce Cups

Asian Beef Lettuce Cups


1kg beef, minced
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
1 large shallot, finely diced
1/2 – 1 tsp sambal oelek
3/4 cup tamari
1/4 cup coconut barbeque sauce
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp raw honey
15 iceberg lettuce cups
2 spring onions to garnish

  1. In a hot pan, please the minced beef and brown.
  2. Once just browned add the garlic and shallots, and cook through for a minute.
  3. Place the remaining ingredients into the pan and mix through the meat evenly.
  4. Cook the meat and liquid on med-high so that the sauce reduces and caramelises itself to the meat.
  5. Once cooked, spoon into lettuce cups and sprinkle with chopped spring onions.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
